“Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace.” & a phone case to remind you of your goals!

Hello, donnas!

If you’ve read the header, you may be a little confused. The quote, “Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace” is one that I came across on Pinterest today and couldn’t stop thinking about.

Although I hate to admit it, I have been in a bit of a post-grad slump. I am still on the hunt for the perfect job to fulfill my goals for employment in the field that I studied in college. There, I said it. I haven’t wanted to mention it and it’s simply because I am slightly embarrassed¬†and extremely frustrated by it. I studied so hard for four years of my life learning about accounting, the financial markets, equity research, and even more about the business field that I hadn’t known a thing about before going to college. I put 110% into my studies and even sacrificed my social life to an extent to succeed in my studies. Now, I am almost six years out of college looking for a job that doesn’t underpay me and is related to what I studied. This… this place right here… is where life has planted me.

This quote reminds me that now that life has planted me here, I have two options.

  1. I dwell in my sorrow and self-pity because I am not working in a position that I want and my post-grad life and savings aren’t exactly the way I wanted them to be at this point.
  2. Bloom with grace! Keep my head up and consistently apply for more and more positions! Instead of starting each day disappointed, embrace¬†the days I’m blessed to live with faith and grace. Cease every moment and make the most of the time I have to spend with family and friends. Invest my free time in making the most of my blog and Youtube channel to increase chances of success in those ventures as well!

It is so easy to get carried away with our disappointments and forget that we aren’t doing anything to help ourselves get out of our rut and bloom! Nothing is better to help you stay focused on your goals than an accessory that will remind you to continue pushing yourself every day.

That is exactly what this gorgeous phone case from¬†Classic Prep Monograms¬†does for me! It’s really funny because I picked this case out without a plan of how I was going to incorporate it into my blog. It’s like it was a sign that it would one day mean something more to me. I loved it because it’s a beautiful case and it was personalizable with my monogram. I thought it would brighten up my mood throughout¬†the fall and winter, but that’s all! I was thrilled when I received it because it is great quality with a black bumper that protects the front screen of my phone as well as covering the volume and power buttons. I am very hard on my phone and drop it¬†a lot but I feel confident that my phone will not be damaged with this case! It’s also a great gift idea for a friend who loves monogrammed things! It’s on sale right now for $46-50 based on your options. I got the tough case for iPhone 7 and I am in love. It has been crucial as a functional tool but now also has an underlying purpose. When I look at it, which I look at my phone¬†probably more than I should, I will be reminded of that quote and that I need to focus on blooming with grace and embracing where life has planted me at the moment!

I hope that this post has served as motivational for you as well if you have been experiencing a similar slump! I hope it helps remind you to bloom with grace instead of living in self-pity and upset about where life has planted you.

Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful rest of your week!

Remember, love yourself, then share that love with others!
