Thank YOU! You all bring me holiday cheer!

Hello, Donnas!

I wanted to take a few minutes today to really thank you properly for all of your love and support over the past six months. I really enjoy getting to know all of the lovely people, including you, who are reading my posts and following my blog both on WordPress and over on Instagram. I am so thankful for how much my following has grown and for all of the friends that I have made out of followers and subscribers.

I started my blogging journey in January of 2017 which another blog. I wanted to be a product reviewer and thought that it would be so cool to have a blog where all I did was write product reviews about things that companies sent me. Although that account has more followers than this blog has yet, it didn’t take long for me to get bored of those kinds of posts. I didn’t get much interaction with my followers and I wasn’t making any friends in the blogging world. That is when I decided to start from scratch and make a blog that gave me more creative freedom. I wanted to create a community of women who enjoyed similar things as I do and really wanted to read about what I have to say. That is when Midtown Donna was born.

I had just moved to New York City, which was crossing one of my biggest dreams off the list, and I know that it was a sign that I was going to be successful with my new blog as well. It wasn’t until June that I had sorted out unpacking into my new apartment and was able to start focusing more on Midtown Donna. That month, I had crazy high levels of views and visitors to my blog that I had a hard time beating until recently.

In November, I decided that I wanted to take my blog even more seriously and purchased my domain name to drop the “” off of my site. Until that time I hadn’t invested any money into my blog and I haven’t since then either. I don’t want to pay for followers or views on any of my social platforms. It turns out that going self hosted was the best decision I could have made for my blog because in November I broke the record for my best month yet.

I have nearly 1,000 unique visitors to my site since I started and over 500 page views this month! Although these aren’t super impressive numbers, they mean a lot to me! I have reached my own personal goals and couldn’t be happier. I owe all that happiness to YOU. To all of you. Without an audience, I wouldn’t have a blog. Without followers and subscribers, I wouldn’t have an Instagram account or a YouTube Channel.

Speaking of my YouTube channel, if you’re not already a subscriber there, click here to check it out! I have only made 3 videos over there so far but I am going to be making DAILY videos during the month of December for Vlogmas! I thought what better way to start investing more time into my channel than jumping in with both feet. Plus, I love watching Vlogmas on other people’s channels so I really wanted to participate this year! If you’re not already subscribed, subscribe to my channel and hit the notification bell next to the subscribe button so you’ll be notified when I upload a new video! You don’t need a YouTube account to subscribe, you only need a Gmail account!

I am so thrilled about December and all that is to come this month and truly believe that it will be the best month yet for my own life and for my blog and I couldn’t have been so successful in this journey if it wasn’t for you. Again, I can’t thank you all enough and I can’t wait to see what December brings as well as 2018!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Remember, love yourself and then share that love with others!

x- Chelsea
