Today marks one year since I wrote my first post for this blog. I have grown so much during this past year and I am proud of all of the content I have created since then.
In the past year I have: I have branched out of my comfort zone by becoming more active on Twitter, built long term relationships with brands and created my own little niche in the blogging world.
This year has been amazing. I have met so many wonderful friends that have resulted from my social media and blog presence and I have developed business relationships that I am proud of with such wonderful companies. When I started, I was nervous about reaching out to brands and wasn’t really sure what my plan was when it came to blogging. Although there have been a ton of positive moments and events worth celebrating, I still have more work ahead of me and I am excited for what’s to come.
In the past year, I have yet to: Partner with a hospitality brand to branch out into travel blogging, fully developed my Facebook page or hit my goal of 1,000 views in a month.
This past year has flown by and looking back, it makes me smile to see all of the content and engagement I have created from a dream about maybe trying out a blog.
My most exciting accomplishments recently are my partnerships with vegan food joints and my growing Twitter followers.
Going vegan is the most exciting life change I have experienced in a long time and I am thrilled to be able to share my experiences with you all trying new foods and learning my way through this journey! It’s a journey full of self-education and creativity in cooking and it’s so rewarding to share it with others.
My biggest weakness when starting to blog was having little to no experience with Twitter. I had never really used it personally but knew it could be a great marketing tool and that I was limiting myself if I didn’t at least try. One of my goals for this year was to increase my activity on Twitter and it has been fruitful. I just surpassed 900 followers on Twitter the other day and although that is a small victory, it’s huge for someone like me who was basically a Twitter newbie a year ago!
This past year has been full of excitement and blogging has been my outlet when I need to relax and get my mind off of something and it has become something I am so proud of. It is a learning experience but I am so happy to have come this far and I’m thankful for all of you.
In a world where you can be anything, be kind!
Until next time,
